In this course students will learn how to read clothing patterns, how to adjust a pattern for their size, and how to sew either a dress or a skirt of their choosing!
Note: This is not an introductory course. Sewing 101 is greatly encouraged. A basic understanding of using a sewing machine, sewing terms, and item construction is necessary. If your student is a quick learner they may be just fine but at least knowing how to run a sewing machine is necessary.
Materials: fabric (upcycles/thrift store finds are awesome!), Cutting mat, rotary cutter, long clear ruler/meter stick, fabric scissors, sewing machine, coordinating thread, buttons, seam ripper, and other items as needed/desired (i.e. specific elastic, trim, lace, etc)

Class Length: 60 minutes
Duration: 6 weeks
Grade Range: Females 6-18 years old (younger will need adult supervision)
